NICKI Minaj drums up some support in a hat military band style hat as she arrives at American Idol.

The show’s new judge posed in the feathered cap, which topped off her latest bizarre garb of grey Lycra top and leggings and black PVC hotpants.
And she tottered around on mismatched designer boots, one with red panel and one with yellow.

The Starships singer, who was announced as the new addition to the panel yesterday, along with Keith Urban, arrived with boyfriend Safaree Samuels.
The 29-year-old has joined country singer Keith, Mariah Carey and original host Randy Jackson for the 12th series of the show.
