According to Coach Siasia, who has already secured the approval of the Nigeria Football Federation for the invitation of the youngsters, the invited players are the skipper of the side, Kelechi Nwakali; tournament’s Top Scorer, Victor Osimhen; and the two wing-backs, John Lazarus and Udochukwu Anumudu.
Speaking on the qualities that made him invite them, Siasia said: “I have been monitoring the progress of these boys while the team was being built by my brother, Emmanuel Amunike.
Don’t forget we were in the same hotel and used the same pitch to train and I have been impressed with what I saw them do in Chile.

US air strike kills ISIS leader in Libya

US air strike kills ISIS leader in Libya
A US air strike has killed the leader of the Islamic State (IS) group in Libya, the Pentagon says.
Iraqi national Abu Nabil, also known as Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al-Zubaydi, was a “long-time al-Qaeda operative and the senior Isil leader in Libya”, it said, using another acronym for IS.
The strike took place on Friday night. There was no word on the location.
The Pentagon said the strike demonstrated that it would “go after Isil leaders wherever they operate”.
‘Degrading IS’Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said the operation had been authorised and taken place before terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday evening.
He added that Nabil may have been the IS spokesman pictured in a February 2015 video showing the apparent execution of Coptic Christians in Libya.

“Nabil’s death will degrade Isil’s ability to meet the group’s objectives in Libya, including recruiting new Isil members, establishing bases in Libya, and planning external attacks on the United States,” he said.
Libya remains in chaos four years after the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, and the growth of Islamic State there has worried Western governments.

Taraba Tribunal judgement ridiculous, It can't stand before men & God - Fayose

Oh no! Chelsea loses again!

Chelsea this evening lost 1-0 to Stoke City at the Britannia stadium and are now languishing close to the relegation zone. For a team who won the premier league last season this is the most contrasting of tales. The Blues, with embattled manager Jose Mourinho serving a stadium ban, enjoyed the better of the game in the first period, but failed to take any of the chans that fell their way.

And Austrian forward Arnautovic made Chelsea pay nine minutes into the second half when he volleyed expertly past Asmir Begovic on his return to the Britannia Stadium.

The victory was, of course, not without its controversial moment; Loic Remy found himself clipped by Jack Butland as he rounded the Stoke goalkeeper five minutes from time. Instead of going to ground, the Frenchman opted to stay on his feet and, off balance, tried to score, to no avail. Referee Anthony Taylor, in initially allowing play to continue, decided against awarding Chelsea a penalty.
An international break looms, the traditional sacking window for Premier League owners, and Jose Mourinho will have to wait to see whether Roman Abramovich considers him fit to continue when we resume.

On Saturday he wasn’t there of course, banned for his rant at referee Jon Moss two weeks ago but his presence was everywhere, from the Mourinho masks to the loud support from the Chelsea travelling fans.

Footballer Frank Ribery to sue CNN for $1.5m over image rights infringement with cryotherapy photo

France and Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery is seeking $1.5 million in damages from US cable news channel CNN for using his image in a story about the death of a woman in a cryotherapy chamber, his lawyer said on Friday

CNN ran a story last month, exactly on October 28 about the death of Chelsea Ake-Salvacion, a 24-year-old American woman who was found dead in a cryotherapy tank in a Nevada spa.

CNN used a photo showing Franck Ribery's head while the footballer used a similar machine, which many high-level sportsmen often do. An error on the cable network's part, as they immediately took down the picture and post but that was not enough to stop people from noticing.

9-year-old boy executed in Chicago over father's gang ties

9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was walking on Chicago's south side when he was lured into an alley and killed, but his father, whose alleged gang ties are believed to have played a role in the boy's murder, won't talk, according to disgusted police who on Friday pleaded for the community to help identify Tyshawn's killer.

Tyshawn, an elementary school student, was walking to a relative's home at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday when the killer or killers lured him from a nearby park and into a neighborhood alley on the 8000 block of S. Damen Ave., where he was shot in the head and back.

Authorities have called on the child's father, Pierre Stokes, to cooperate with them in solving the murder Monday that they described as "absolutely hateful."
