It’s been many years since you heard anything from Aaladin.
The gifted singer, who reigned briefly in the nineties before moving to
Europe, is back on the scene, hoping to add his voice to a now very
vibrant music scene.
Aaladin was first signed on Zmirage music, along with Tunde and Wunmi Obe,
before he joined PWise music. A feud with Preddy Wise would see him
leave the label. He’s been in Austria ever since, where he records and
performs regularly.
Now married with kids, Aaladin told NET
exclusively his mind has always been on Nigeria, and he often returned
briefly, to check out the terrain and explore possibilities of a final
relocation. In 2010, the singer made headlines due to his frantic search
for his missing mother. It was later discovered she had passed away.
‘I’m back here now‘, he told NET on a recent visit to our office. ‘I’m here, living and recording. I’m back in Nigeria and I pray Nigerians accept me and show me the love they’ve always shown me.‘
He also confirmed he’ll be releasing new material ‘soon’.
