Kim Kardashian 'won't give her engagement ring back' to ex Kris

Bitter wrangle ... Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian's marriage lasted just 72 days

KIM Kardashian is reportedly refusing to hand

back her diamond engagement ring to estranged husband Kris Humphries.

The basketball star is demanding she return the jewel – which cost him over £450,000 – but his

wife of just 72 days insists it rightfully belongs to her, reports RadarOnline.

Kim apparently won’t give the ring up because she feels entitled to keep it having gone through

with the marriage.

But a source in Kris’ camp said: “He is adamant that he wants the ring back.

“It's becoming a real sticking point between his and Kim's attorneys. She has made it plain that

she has no intention of returning it though and feels she is within her legal right to refuse as she

went through with the wedding.

“However, Kris contends that the marriage was a total sham and that Kim only wed him for

publicity so therefore she has no right to keep such an expensive gift.

“Kris doesn't understand why Kim would even want to keep the ring anyway.

“It obviously has no sentimental value as she has publicly declared their wedding as 'a huge

mistake' and she certainly doesn't need the money, so why doesn't she just return it to him?”

Meanwhile, their high-profile wrangle has taken another turn, with Kim’s lawyer blasting Kris for

not agreeing to divorce the star.

Laura Wasser said in a Los Angeles court yesterday: “Ms Kardashian is now handcuffed to

Kris Humphries.

“These delays are forcing her to be married. She wants to dissolve her marriage so she can

move on with her life. I don't think (Kris) has a case, it's a fishing expedition.”

Kris is refusing to go through with the divorce, claiming the whole marriage was a fraud

perpetrated by Kim to get publicity for her TV show.

His lawyer Marshall Waller said: “All she has to do is agree to an annulment.”

The judge has set a February 15 hearing date to determine if the case will go to trial.
