In the kick of it ... Lady Gaga
LADY
Gaga stunned a bunch of local Brazilian kids when she left her hotel
room to join them for a game of footie.
The singer played barefoot on the shanty town streets of Rio De Janeiro,
displaying impressive control as she passed the ball to another player.
She looked deep in concentration as she side-footed the inflatable, much to the approval of her young crowd of fellow participants in Ipanema.
However, Gaga was hardly dressed for a kick-about, turning up for the impromptu game in a dress and long pink-dyed hair.
The eccentric chart-topper mingled with residents of the densely-populated area, laughing as she chatted to young fans.
One female supporter appeared particularly overwhelmed by the experience, smiling with tear-filled eyes as she embraced her idol.
Gaga also put her arm around a small lad as she held a blue flower gifted to her and clutched a cuddly toy while several hands reached out to grab hold of the megastar.
Rio is the latest stop on the singer’s gruelling Born This Way Ball world tour – and Gaga has taken to Twitter to heap praise on the city.
She wrote: “Today was the best day I've ever had, had so much fun.
“I'll never forget Rio, you lit my heart into flames.
“We even played football, they were SO GOOD IT WAS CRAZY.”
The generous singer was yesterday pictured greeting fans from her hotel balcony in a bikini top – and ordered them “hamburgers, fries and coke”.
She also recently donated $1 million (£625,000) to victims of Superstorm Sandy in her native New York.
