RIHANNA has undergone her most drastic haircut to date – this time opting for a schoolboy-style crop.

The ever-reinventing pop star stunned fans by having her long locks lopped off ahead of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards tonight.
Rihanna never sports the same barnet for long, constantly changing its appearance – but this is bound to go down as one of her more extreme looks.
Accentuating the boyish design, Rihanna donned a masculine combo of white T-shirt, ripped jeans and a pair of trainers.
She showed off her shorn bonce as she arrived at the Staples Center in Los Angeles – the venue of tonight's prize-giving bash.

Her drastic hair change comes hot on the heels of teen star Miley Cyrus’s image overhaul.
The formerly long-haired star recently debuted her choppy cropped ‘do and shaved sides in public.
Delighted with her rock chick look, she tweeted: “Never felt more me in my whole life. LOVE my hair, feel so happy, pretty, and free.”
Rihanna will open the MTV VMAs with a performance of new track Cockiness (Love It).
She’s been shortlisted for five awards at the prestigious event.
