Music: WizKid – Nobody But You ft. Wale

Wale and WizKid

WizKid and Wale teamed up for a record over a year ago, and this is the product that came out of it. This was obviously done way before the official single Drop was released earlier this year.
The song is not bad, and is more Wale’s style than WizKid but still works… And by the way, WizKid drops a new single tomorrow, but we’ll use this to wet our appetite
It’s WizKid Nobody But You.

N225m car scandal: Stella Oduah tells her own side of the story

Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah has responded to President Jonathan's query to her to explain her role in the purchase of the controversial N225million BMW armored cars. See her response below

Executive summary on the procurement of NCAA operational vehicles
“The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, is the statutory regulator of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Industry.

Consequently, the NCAA is charged with oversight responsibilities over all civil aviation operations in the country, including safety, security and strict compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, SARPs, and Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, NCARs.

2. Towards the effective implementation of its statutory regulatory responsibilities, therefore, it is imperative that the NCAA is fully equipped with highly specialised tools and facilities, including adequate operational vehicles to cover all 22 national airports and over 400 airstrips. In keeping with standard practice, provision is therefore made annually for the replacement of obsolete, inadequate & unreliable monitoring equipment.

Wait, Stella Oduah followed President Jonathan to Israel?

According to new reports, Minister of Aviation Ms Stella Oduah is currently in Israel with president Jonathan. Stella Oduah left Nigeria on Tuesday while President Jonathan left yesterday. The two are in Israel to sign the Bilateral Air Services Agreement, BASA, with the country.

Pres. Jonathan is also in Jerusalem for pilgrimage. And you guys thought she was under probe? Lol

Mary J Blige and Tiwa Savage's Reunion

Y'all know that Tiwa Savage used to be a backup singer for Mary J Blige? Tiwa received high praise from the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul during her recent performance at the Sisters with Soul concert in Lagos last September. Mary J Blige stopped mid-way through her performance to acknowledge Tiwa’s presence in the audience then recounted the tale of how they met and worked together, before inviting the “Eminado” singer onstage to join her. The reunion of the talented songbirds was one of the highlights of the successful concert...

At his first public appearance since Universal announced the actor will no longer portray the successful and suave Christian Grey, Hunnam broke his silence on his post-"Grey" life.

Lady Gaga to spend the holiday with The Muppets

Expect to see Lady Gaga and some actual little monsters on Thanksgiving.

The superstar singer will celebrate turkey day with the “Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular.” Before you start questioning that pairing, know that Gaga considers them buddies.

"I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year,” she said in a statement. “I knew it just wouldn't be a complete night of laughter and memories without The Muppets! Can't wait to see the gang again and I hope Miss Piggy's still not mad about Kermit. We're just friends!"

For those who have forgotten, Kermit was Gaga's date at the 2009 MTV VMAs - which started beef (or would it be pork?) with Miss Piggy. And then there was that outfit she wore which was made of many Kermit dolls. Based on his statement, the frog clearly remembers that.

Chocolate City gets a Court Injunction against Brymo

Oh OK, now I see the reason for Brymo's tweets yesterday. He literally can't work as an artist until he sorts himself out with Choc City. Apparently his former record label Chocolate City through their law firm, L & A legal Consultants on Monday October 21st got an injunction against him, 'restraining him from recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organisation other than Chocolate City pending the determination of the suit against him.

Chocolate City says Brymo's contract remains valid until 2016. Brymo is too talented not to work... please y'all should sort this out

Thisday foreign editor Paul Ohia found dead in his car in Apapa

Thisday Foreign and Diplomatic Editor, Mr. Paul Ohia, was found dead yesterday October 22nd in his official car, a white Kia Optima along Marine Road, Apapa, Lagos.

According to eyewitness reports, the deceased had parked his car for several hours by the side of the road, which aroused the suspicion of passersby, prompting them to move closer to check on him. The eyewitnesses said the deceased had reclined the driver's seat and lay on it as if he was sleeping; until they opened the car doors to find out that he was motionless and lifeless.

The sympathizers who noticed the Thisday sticker on the windshield of the car called Thisday office, informing them of the tragic incident. Thisday staff and the police moved Mr. Ohia to Lagoon Hospital in Apapa where he was confirmed dead.

Although, the hospital said an autopsy would determine the actual cause of death, the medical doctor on duty said the deceased might have died of cardiac arrest. Ohia is survived by a wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace...amen. (Thisday)

BMW Scandal: Coscharis gave N112m kickback to aviation minister

According to new reports by Sahara Reporters, the car company that sold the two BMW armored cars to NCAA, gave N112million to aviation minister Stella Oduah as kickbacks. (Kickback is a form of negotiated bribery in which a commission is paid to the bribe-taker for services rendered)

From Sahara Reporters

Even as the minister of aviation began a new spin today that the BMW armored cars purchased by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for her use were done on "hire-purchase", SaharaReporters has unearthed new details about the $1.6 million spent by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to purchase the armored BMW cars for Nigeria's Aviation Minister Stella Oduah.

A highly reliable source has told SaharaReporters that the shady deal for the car was done entirely between Coscharis Motors Limited, a dealership from which the cars were purchased, one of Ms. Oduah’s private firms based in Abuja, and First Bank of Nigeria.

“The NCAA was not even aware of the deal until the minister told them to sign that they had received two BMW cars,” said our source.

After inking the deal, Coscharis Motors, sellers of the highly inflated automobiles, reportedly gave the Aviation Minister more than N112 million as kickbacks. Our source added that Cosmas Maduka, who owns Coscharis Motors, pocked N60 million for each of the two BMW cars.

Kanye defends bringing Jesus lookalike on stage

Kanye offended quite a number of people when he brought a Jesus lookalike on stage during the first stop of his Yeezy tour in Seattle on Saturday. Kanye now explains the method to his madness...

Kanye tells Wild 94.9 in San Fransico

"I had a friend of mine that is a pastor and we were discussing how we were going to deliver it. My girl even asked afterwards “isn’t that weird if Jesus comes on stage or something like that?” No we do plays all the time where people play Jesus. What’s awesome about Christianity is that we are allowed to portray God. We'e allowed to draw an image of Him. We’re allowed to make movies about Him. Other religions you can’t do that. Michelangelo did it…It’s a painting, it’s a sculpture, it’s a moving opera, it's a play, it’s a message. I’m not even going to do any comparisons with that. God knows where my heart is a

Ailing veteran actor Pa Kasumu gradually losing his voice and sight

Ailing veteran actor, Kayode Odumosu aka Pa Kasumu's state of health has deteriorated. Encomium magazine reports that he now has a high level of hypertension and has also developed an advanced cerebrovascular disease, a medical condition that is related to brain dysfunction which affects the blood vessels that transports blood to the brain. This new development has impaired his memory as well as gradually eroding his speech. He is also gradually losing the vision in his left eye.

Niece to the veteran actor and coordinator of the Save Pa Kasumu Group, Mrs Idowu Olajide, spoke on the recent development and Governor Fashola's promise. She said:

"As it is now, the situation is very disturbing. He has lost his voice but we believe with God, all things are possible. Governor Fashola directed him to First Cardiologist Hospital Ikoyi and the result from the test has been sent to him. We really appreciate the governor's step, it's in the right direction. But he hasn't said he would give Pa Kasumu N12million as been peddled and we have not received any money from him. So, we are still appealing to all the good-hearted Nigerians to come to the aid of Pa Kasumu because weather or not he is flown abroad, the ailment needs serious maintenance which will cost a lot of money".

Burning Question: Why Are People Getting Plastic Surgery to Look Like Celebs?

it's a good question, especially considering that, $100,000 and five years later, poor Toby Sheldon doesn't really look like Bieber at all. (Even worse, Sheldon used to kind of look like Matt Damon. Tragedy upon tragedy.)

Think Toby Sheldon (right) looks like The Biebs? (Getty Images/Double Vision Media)

As for Nicholas Ryan, the actor who got $5,000 worth of filler injections in hopes of turning into Ryan Gosling, his efforts yielded a face that is just fine, but also looks nothing like 32-year-old "Drive" star who makes all the girls swoon.

Let's get to the second question first. All doctors are supposed to go through ethics training ... theoretically. But, as I've learned, that's not always the case.

"Oddly enough," says respected plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, "you don't get any ethics training in my field, at least, not in residency. There is no formal course on what to do and what not to do ... it would probably be good to have an ethics course."
